This experimental body of work was created as an homage to the late artist Louise Bourgeois. Though they are visual adaptions of Her Femme Maison works, they differ conceptually. While the house with legs piece is quite directly adapted from Femme Maison, most of the figures embody the tensions a liberated woman feels between self-expression and sensuality with the expectation of conservative suburban values.  The standalone figure Mother Earth Developed is about the commodification of the feminine landscape.
